About the Role

Helio Health is seeking a Work Readiness Counselor for its Elements Program in Liverpool, New York. This role assists clients in achieving a recovery lifestyle and meeting their vocational rehabilitation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group vocational counseling services, including assessments, referrals, and treatment planning.
  • Facilitates expressive and experiential therapy modalities and didactic lectures.
  • Provides job preparation and ongoing job development training.
  • Assists with discharge planning and record-keeping.
  • Collaborates with community organizations to enhance vocational and living skills programming.
  • Performs Quality Assurance activities, ensuring services comply with agency policies and regulations.
  • Evaluates programming, identifies strengths and problems, and assists in problem resolution and program modifications.
  • Participates in committees as assigned.
  • Maintains appropriate program records and statistical accountability.
  • Represents the program to the community.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Vocational rehabilitation counseling experience required.
  • Knowledge of community educational and vocational resources.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications.
  • Must have a valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Equivalent alternative combination of education and experience will be considered.
