About the Role
Client is seeking a senior backend/server-side engineer with strong Core Java fundamentals, including multithreading, concurrency, algorithms, and data structures, for their post-trade application team. Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational support of enterprise applications.
- 7+ years of experience in Java (Java 8 or higher) with strong expertise in Spring Boot 3.
- 3+ years of experience with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ, Client Kinesis, or Azure Service Bus.
- 5+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with distributed caching and in-memory data grid technologies, such as Hazelcast.
- Proficiency with software development and DevOps toolsets including Git/BitBucket, Jira, and Maven.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable applications on Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of capital markets, with a strong understanding of back-office technology platforms and systems.
