About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tech Consultant – Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data architects, data scientists, and application teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from multiple data sources.
- Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize data pipeline performance, scalability, reliability, and data quality.
- Implement data governance, validation, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot production data issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop reusable data frameworks and automation for data processing.
- Support CI/CD deployment of data engineering solutions and participate in code reviews.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow Agile development practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and building enterprise data pipelines.
- 4+ years of experience with SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- 3+ years of experience with Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, or other big data technologies.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
- Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
- Experience with data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse Analytics.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail, or other enterprise domains.
- AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Google Professional Data Engineer, or Databricks certification is preferred.
