About the Role

The Manager of Student Services is the central program leader for the CxC Student Development & Services team, ensuring seamless daily operations, high-quality client services, and effective coordination of student and full-time staff. This role translates strategy into execution, leading scheduling, logistics, data systems, and front-line service delivery. The Manager also provides individual coaching to student staff and Distinguished Communicator candidates, ensuring all programming is efficient and consistent for high-impact services delivered at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily studio operations, ensuring functional readiness, coverage, and continuity of CxC services.
  • Define standards and protocols for customer service and client experience, ensuring staff apply these across all studio programming and client interactions.
  • Manage front-line communications (email, phone, online chat, client request platforms, etc.).
  • Lead seamless client experiences from initial contact through service completion.
  • Manage logistics and support for the execution of workshops, trainings, events, etc.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of studio programming and team workflows.
  • Support feedback sessions and portfolio reviews for Distinguished Communicator candidates.
  • Support planning and execution of the semesterly Distinguished Communicator Medal Ceremony.
  • Contribute to the delivery of additional CxC programming, initiatives, and events as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training to ensure student peer mentor staff deliver exceptional client services/experiences and carry out studio programming with high fidelity.
  • Lead semesterly scheduling strategy and daily real-time adjustments of student staff schedules/skills and work assignments.
  • Direct administrative and logistical activities related to hiring and managing 50+ student staff.
  • Collaborate with Student Learning & Dev Managers to ensure student peer mentors are adequately prepared to complete assigned work.
  • Ensure student peer mentors are appropriately matched with clients/assignments based on client needs and student staff skills.
  • Support quality assurance by identifying gaps in staffing and processes, and reinforcing standards.
  • Partner with CxC Managers to align student training/upskilling, client needs, and program delivery.
  • Address student staffing challenges as they arise.
  • Provide just-in-time performance feedback to student staff and contribute to formal performance review processes.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete data entry, tracking, analysis, and auditing for specified programs.
  • Maintain the short- and long-term integrity of program data systems and processes.
  • Develop practical reports to enable data-informed decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of demonstrated success in program management, operational efficiency, organizational staffing and development, client services, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, front-line service environments with a focus on consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex schedules, staffing models, or workforce logistics in dynamic, real-time environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and supporting student employees or part-time staff.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing data systems, scheduling platforms, or workflow management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining program processes, protocols, and service standards.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating events, workshops, or multi-component program logistics.
  • Reliability, initiative, and follow-through in delivering high-quality program outcomes.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactively identifies issues and implements solutions before escalation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintenance throughout employment.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience (Preferred).
