About the Role

The EHSS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with Canadian and United States EHSS regulations and requirements within a manufacturing environment. This role involves conducting inspections, managing safety programs, and participating in EHS training.

Responsibilities

  • Work on EHSS compliance with Canadian and United States regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of EHSS related equipment such as fire extinguishers, exit signs, security doors, forklift and other lifting devices.
  • Inspect safety mechanisms of various manufacturing equipment and devices.
  • Create and review safety programs and assist with their implementation.
  • Stay current with all government requirements for a manufacturing environment.
  • Administer EHS office and its systems (such as ISO14001, Health and Safety Program documentation).
  • Conduct inspections of workplace areas and emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire panels, sprinkler system, safety showers and eyewash stations.
  • Conduct inspection of all building areas from a security systems stand-point.
  • Perform video surveillance reviews as needed.
  • Maintain records of inspections, measure trends and deficiencies.
  • Administer all relevant EHS internal and external documentation.
  • Coordinate health and safety programs such as WHMIS Hazard Communication, Lead Awareness, LOTO, and noise control, PPEs, and hazard assessments in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct various EHS training.
  • Participate in job task analysis and other monitoring activities such as noise monitoring and industrial hygiene.
  • Enforce and support company hazardous materials and waste labeling requirements.
  • Respond to chemical spills and support the emergency response team as needed.
  • Help drive cost savings and pollution prevention measures.
  • Follow all safety measures and lead by example.
  • Comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
  • Be computer literate with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both printed and verbal formats.
  • Able to efficiently perform and monitor several related activities.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident to access ITAR product and related technical data.
  • Must be able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor.
  • Must recognize Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.
  • Must understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL).
  • Must understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US.
  • Must manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Salary/Compensations

  • $66,970 - $111,617
  • An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.
  • Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
