About the Role
Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to obtain radiological diagnostic images. Respond appropriately to professional staff and patient demands, and assist management in sustaining a high quality of service. This position is needed to cover ER X-ray, Inpatient X-ray, and OR.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to obtain required images for a radiological diagnosis.
- Respond appropriately to professional staff and patient demands.
- Assist management in sustaining a high quality of service.
- Cover ER X-ray, Inpatient X-ray and OR.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography Technologist program.
- High School Diploma/GED
- N.Y. State Department of Health X-ray License
- Temporary license required for new graduates and must supply exam date prior to start of employment.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license must be obtained within six months of hire.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
