About the Role

Elgin Motor Freight, a division of Challenger Motor Freight, is seeking Owner Operators to run a 300-500 mile radius from the London, ON terminal. This role involves travel through states east of the Mississippi River, including East Coast States (NJ, PA, VA), the Midwest, and some 401 corridor routes including Greater Montreal. Dispatches are prioritized based on driver, customer, and load requirements, with no forced New York City dispatch.

Responsibilities

Run a 300-500 mile radius from the terminal.
Travel through states east of the Mississippi River, including East Coast States (NJ, PA, VA), the Midwest, and some 401 corridor routes including Greater Montreal.
Be available for a minimum of 5 full days of 24-hour availability per week.
Operate within legal driving requirements, potentially including weekend runs.
Perform border crossings where required.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.
One year of verifiable commercial vehicle driving experience.
Clean driving record.
Maximum three demerit points (preferred).
Zero convictions or out-of-service events on CVOR abstract (preferred).
Criminal record search (no offences under Criminal Code of Canada).
Valid Class AZ driver’s licence.
Professional attitude and desire to be part of an award-winning team.
A FAST CARD is required.
