About the Role

Responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules for a large portfolio of projects to support project reporting and on-time delivery analysis, complying with Gas Power New Combine Cycle Customer requirements and adhering to contracts and PMO processes and standards. The primary focus is mastering the intersection of Primavera P6 scheduling, Supply Chain integration, and Concurrent Engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Attend ITO/OTR handover meetings to receive the L1/L2 bid schedule and validate ITO assumptions, risk registers, and contractual milestone dates.
  • Assess the feasibility of the ITO schedule against known engineering and supply chain constraints, identifying gaps between the 'sold' schedule and the 'executable' plan.
  • Support CKOM (Contract Kick-Off Meetings) and ensure all open action items related to schedule execution are tracked and closed.
  • Develop Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) Integrated Project Schedules using Primavera P6, adhering to global planning standards.
  • Integrate Supplier Lead Times, manufacturing cycles, and logistics durations with Sourcing/Procurement, ensuring PO required dates are accurately reflected and synchronized across multi-unit projects.
  • Model Concurrent Engineering workflows with Engineering functional leads, ensuring design releases support procurement and construction handoffs without conflict.
  • Lead the Commitment Meeting with functional owners to resolve disconnects, align on cycles, and secure buy-in for the project baseline (P0).
  • Update the project master schedule monthly based on inputs from task owners, analyzing progress curves, float consumption, and 'Say/Do' ratios.
  • Perform deep-dive critical path analysis to identify potential delays and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Manage scheduling constraints (ALAP/ASAP) and lead re-baselining efforts, ensuring minimal disruption to reporting and preserving commitment dates.
  • Ensure consistency across multi-unit projects and manage PO required dates to prevent drift between units.
  • Maintain the risk register within the schedule and run 'What-If' scenarios to assess the impact of potential risks or opportunities on the critical path.
  • Ensure Primavera P6 remains the 'Single Source of Truth' and manage integrations with adjacent tools.
  • Prepare and present schedule updates to internal leadership, functional teams, and external customers, adapting communication for non-planning experts.
  • Support Extension of Time (EOT) and cost claims by performing delay analysis.
  • Facilitate project close-out reports, documenting lessons learned and feeding improvements back into the Scheduling COE.
  • Identify disconnects between regional teams or functions and drive solutions to standardize global processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Planning & Scheduling within a complex engineering or EPC environment using Primavera P6.
  • Power Generation and Heavy Industrial Equipment experience preferred.
  • Courage to challenge functional leaders when durations are unrealistic or commitments are at risk, with confidence and analytics to drive action without direct authority.
  • Ability to translate complex schedule data into simple, actionable insights for senior leadership and customers.
