About the Role
Oversee evening/night inpatient pharmacy operations at the Main Campus Hospital, providing operational leadership in a specialized, fast-paced environment and partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other managers to provide seamless operations for evening and night shifts.
- Coordinate coverage, meeting attendance, and departmental representation.
- Review workflow and recommend procedures to improve efficiency.
- Develop staffing schedules to assure adequate coverage.
- Monitor staff activities to ensure accurate and thorough work completion.
- Review and enforce P&P and regulatory procedures.
- Facilitate Human Resource activities including hiring, promotions, transfers, and time-off management.
- Serve as a liaison between Pharmacy and Administrative/Nursing/Medical Leadership.
- Oversee training, orientation, and competency assessment for staff.
- Monitor RISQ events and perform event reviews.
- Perform performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Assist with inventory and budget management.
- Provide staffing support as needed.
- Undertake other assigned projects and committees.
Requirements
- PharmD (or equivalent).
- NY Pharmacist License Required.
- Experience in Inpatient, Retail and Peri-op Operations and Project Management (preferred).
