About the Role

Join Sinai Health as a Mask Fit Tester, where your precision and care help set our high standards for safety. In this role, you'll directly contribute to safeguarding our healthcare workers by ensuring they are properly protected by well-fitting masks. Responsibilities

• Complete health evaluation forms for workers identified to be fit tested for N95, half-face, or full-face cartridge respirators
• Conduct respirator mask fit testing in accordance with CSA Standards
• Provide accessibility options for those unable to utilize respirators needed for their position
• Provide training and instruction for Sinai Health people required to utilize alternative respiratory protection (e.g. controlled air-purifying respirator)
• Educate participants on respirator mask donning and doffing, etc.
• Sanitize/disinfect testing room and equipment
• Create, update and maintain mask fit records in accordance with the CSA standard and the Sinai Health Respiratory Protection Program
• Generate fit test certificates upon request
• Aid in maintaining mask fit testing compliance across the organization via manager outreach
• Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned

Requirements

• Successful completion of a high school diploma or currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from an accredited educational institution
• Minimum of 6 months experience providing training in a group setting
• Previous experience in occupational health and safety
• Background in healthcare or a related field
• Proficiency with both quantitative and qualitative fit testing methods
• Excellent computer and keyboarding skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proven attendance record
• Demonstrates an understanding and complies with safety related policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive workplace.
