About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high voltage tests according to established procedures and standards.
  • Set up and calibrate test equipment, apply high voltage, and monitor equipment performance.
  • Accurately record test data, including measurements and observations.
  • Prepare test reports summarizing procedures, data, and results.
  • Communicate test results effectively to engineers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Ensure and follow all safety procedures when handling high voltage equipment.
  • Verify the safety and efficiency of the test lab environment.
  • Provide support and assistance in laboratory environments with assembly of test products.
  • Monitor the condition of test equipment and facilities.
  • Report any issues or anomalies detected during testing.
  • Support the team in achieving daily production quotas.

Requirements

  • Community College diploma in Electrical/Electronic or associate’s electrical certification is required.
  • Knowledge of high voltage products and production processes is preferable.
  • Active listening, effective communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience using test instruments such as Impedance Analyzer, Voltage Breakdown Tester, Power Wattmeter & Micro Ohmmeter is preferable.
  • 2+ years relevant experience with hands-on experience working on LV or HV circuit preferred.
  • Critical thinking and knowledge in electromagnetic theory and circuit analysis is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating system is required.
  • Familiarity with LabView and other industry-wide lab software would be strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical AC & DC schematics is required.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy electrical test equipment or components (up to 40 lbs) is required.
  • Working at height and using elevating platforms is a mandatory requirement.
  • Able to work on a shift rotation as required.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, including demonstrated ability to follow verbal/written instructions and complete technical paperwork.
