About the Role
The New Clinic (DeNovo) Opening Lead will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of activities required to successfully launch new Anytime Dental Group clinics. You'll serve as the central lead, working closely with internal support teams, external vendors, and clinic leadership to ensure every clinic opens on time, fully staffed, operationally ready, and positioned for long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Lead New Clinic Openings: Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of new clinic openings from construction through launch.
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved and clinics open on schedule.
- Identify risks, solve problems proactively, and keep projects moving forward.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Serve as the primary point of contact between Operations, Construction, IT, Marketing, People & Culture, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and Clinical Leadership.
- Ensure each department delivers on key milestones required for a successful opening.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Build & Prepare New Clinics: Coordinate the setup of each new clinic, including equipment, technology, supplies, signage, furniture, and operational readiness.
- Ensure clinics meet all regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements before opening.
- Complete final readiness assessments prior to launch.
- Hire & Launch Great Teams: Partner with People & Culture to recruit and hire new clinic team members.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training alongside the Operations team.
- Support new employees through the opening process to ensure a positive and engaging experience.
- Be There on Opening Day & Beyond: Travel to new clinic locations to oversee the final stages of each opening.
- Provide hands-on support during launch, helping teams navigate challenges and ensuring an exceptional first experience for both employees and patients.
- Capture lessons learned and continuously improve the opening process for future clinics.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of dental, project management, operations, healthcare, hospitality, retail expansion, or multi-site leadership experience
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and senior leaders
- Ability to solve problems proactively and remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout Southern Ontario during clinic openings
- Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
- Experience opening new healthcare, retail, or hospitality locations
- Dental industry experience would be an asset
- Experience with multi-site organizations
