About the Role

Community Care Physicians is seeking experienced, motivated leaders for Practice Manager opportunities in the Capital District area, offering roles in both primary and specialty care offices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day office operations, including task coordination, patient registration, telephone reception and triage, appointments, referrals, supply ordering, purchase order review, invoice processing, and equipment maintenance.
  • Manage primary care practice initiatives (PCMH, EPC, CPCI, NCQA) to facilitate practice transformation.
  • Coordinate, schedule, implement, and recommend training and staff development programs.
  • Organize, improve, and report on the productivity of administrative staff and providers.
  • Compile and analyze data on patient outcomes, QA, goal achievement, work studies, and performance issues.
  • Prepare payroll accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare software templates and assist with creating schedules for all providers in EMR.
  • Create and ensure a working environment that protects patient confidentiality and medical information privacy.
  • Collaborate with Site Medical Manager and Human Resources on employee relations, recruitment, benefits, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Provide necessary information to administration staff for practitioner credentialing.
  • Assist administration and laboratory staff in resolving demographic and/or billing errors.
  • Ensure accurate, compliant coding and charge entry with practitioners and administration staff.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in healthcare.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Keen business sense.
  • Effective communication skills for patient inquiries (telephone and in-person).
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well independently.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing and computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to work cohesively and inter-departmentally, building positive working relationships.

Work Type

Experience Level

  • Five years of medical office experience
  • Three years in a supervisor/management capacity
  • Clinical management experience as an RN or LPN strongly preferred

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in health or business administration preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $76,000 - $90,000 Annually
