About the Role

Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) is seeking Full-Time Maintenance Workers for Residential and Out-Patient Positions in the New York City Area (Queens & Bronx). This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure facilities and equipment are in good working order, supporting the organization's mission of providing rehabilitative services to individuals recovering from mental illness.

Responsibilities

Perform installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Clean bathrooms and building floors.
Empty garbage cans and transport to dumpster.
Replenish cleaning supplies.
Pick up staff payroll bi-weekly.
Schedule employee evaluations with supervisor.
Transport residents and staff for shopping and appointments.
Pick up medication from pharmacies.
Order and pick up residence supplies.
Transport residents and staff to recreational activities.
Monitor and maintain residence boilers, hot water, and heating systems.
Prepare rooms for new residents.
Replace lighting fixtures.
Perform minor repairs on sinks, showers, toilets, light fixtures, windows, doors, and other building components.
Maintain residence vehicles.
Perform snow shoveling.
Conduct minor plastering and painting.
Assist other residential components with maintenance and driving needs.
Sit or stand as needed.
Walk for short periods throughout the day.
Reach above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lift as required for filing or storing materials.
Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

High School diploma and relevant experience preferred.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Current valid New York State Driver's License.
Safe driving history.
