About the Role
Develops and maintains software programs and libraries for CNC Fabrication equipment and related automation, providing technical support across all shifts and identifying opportunities for "lights out" operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the evaluation and closure of technical NCMR’s
- Provides technical support for the team across all shifts
- Identify and support “lights out” operations through related programming activities
- Serve as a backup when needed for the development of MPCD’s for fabricated products
- Evaluates and closes action item requests generated from pre-production review activities
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years related experience or training
- Associates degree (A.A.) preferred (Manufacturing Technology or related) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming
- Working knowledge of Amada and Mazak CNC programming software is preferred (Amada VPSS 4IE Blank, Dr. Abe Bend, Radan)
- Mental and visual attention with concentration on detail
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; maneuver through the office and factory; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
