About the Role
MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order. This role involves preparing apartments for move-in, diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues, following a preventative maintenance schedule, and following up with residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare apartments for move-in.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units.
- Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures.
- Perform plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs.
- Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
- Follow up with residents after repairs are complete.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
- HVAC experience required.
- EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
