About the Role
As a Chef for Aramark UK at Woolwich Barracks, you'll be part of a dedicated catering team serving military personnel at one of the Army's most historic and prestigious sites. Supporting the home of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, you'll deliver high-quality meals, develop your culinary skills, and enjoy a rewarding role where your work makes a real difference every day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with minimal wastage
- Deliver fine dining for functions and hospitality events
- Support and coach new team members on kitchen standards and procedures
- Follow recipe cards and maintain food quality
- Assist with stock checks, food orders, and kitchen records
- Monitor temperatures and complete due diligence paperwork
- Help with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
Requirements
- Relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent)
- A confident chef and excellent team player
- Flexibility and ability to innovate
- UK residency for the past 3 years
- Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks
- A driving licence would be beneficial, but not essential
