About the Role
The Assistant Field Operations Manager oversees all aspects of operations and clinic management within the field office, leading effective operations through defined Leadership Competencies. This position reports to the VIP Petcare team.
Responsibilities
- Manage all field office operational issues, including administration, facilities, and inventory.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining, and evaluating staff at a specific location.
- Manage office and clinics as directed.
- Establish and maintain relationships with host location staff and animal outreach groups.
- Communicate regularly with the Field Operations Manager to ensure service consistency and operational policy execution.
- Collaborate with the Field Operations Manager on business opportunities related to partner locations.
- Live and reinforce company competencies and brand promise with partners, pet parents, and team members.
- Communicate marketing programs to staff and ensure marketing materials are available.
- Travel to community clinics as needed to drive business.
- Travel to headquarters or other field offices for business initiatives.
- Support and participate in weeknight and weekend clinics and work on rigs.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Experience and comfort with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including handling and lifting animals, is preferred.
- Experience with basic Human Resources principles, basic Accounting/Math principles, and operations management implementing best practices is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, management, or operations is preferred.
- Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
