About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will actively manage the delivery of new consumer-facing functionality to J.Crew Group brand websites, managing both large-scale initiatives and short-burst enhancements. This role involves managing daily scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, scope discussions, design sessions, and sprint planning, serving as a liaison between Business/Product teams and Engineering, QA, and Web Operations. The ideal candidate puts the team first, empowering members to drive efficiency, growth, and excellence in a supportive, safe, accepting, and collaborative space.
Responsibilities
- Drive the building and implementation of enhanced web experiences for J.Crew Group websites (jcrew.com, factory.jcrew.com).
- Flex outside of digital as needed to support organizational peak readiness and execution.
- Lead daily stand-ups, assist in impediment removal, and work closely with Product partners for backlog refinement, sprint planning, and overall delivery.
- Pivot between Scrum Master duties, Agile methodologies, and traditional waterfall delivery based on project needs.
- Support the front-end and back-end code release process by coordinating with Tech Operations.
- Partner with QA, Engineering, DevOps, and PMO to improve workflows and processes for a streamlined CI/CD process.
- Act as support for site issue resolution in production and lower environments.
- Enable the creation and application of A/B tests for new site experiences and support the evaluation of test results.
- Partner with vendors to introduce new integrations and functionalities, ensuring existing products and tools meet business needs.
- Support the engineering team by creating temporary website features and applying bug fixes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Coordinate overlapping operational efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure all work is tracked in JIRA and collaborate via multiple software tools.
- Manage team budget, including quarterly CEA submissions, accruals, forecasts, and invoice reviews.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A team player focused on improving customer, business, and technical team member experiences.
- 3-5 years of relevant eCommerce experience.
- Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience with software workflow tools like Smartsheet/JIRA/Confluence.
- Experience with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.
- Desire to evolve the overall operations landscape, documenting new guidelines, standards, and strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a quick-turn, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and varying team structures.
