About the Role

The Principal Gifts Coordinator will support the Associate Vice President (AVP) Major & Principal Gifts in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors. This role emphasizes a donor-centered approach and offers a growth opportunity in the Development profession within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the AVP to develop deep familiarity with portfolios to engage top donors.
  • Draft, edit, and/or proofread talking points for donor meetings, proposals, stewardship reports, and other communications.
  • Oversee the project management of proposal and report development, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of materials for donor and prospect meetings and visits.
  • Assist with tracking donor relationships, work plans, gift projections, and deliverables.
  • Produce individualized acknowledgements and other correspondence for donors, ensuring accuracy and consistency with EDF's style and messaging.
  • Help develop fundraising reports to track goals, giving, and fundraising activities.
  • Participate in donor strategy sessions.
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry, scheduling, and expense tracking and reporting.
  • Undertake other special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in advancing EDF organizational effectiveness and culture goals, fostering an inclusive environment aligned with EDF values.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to compose, edit, and expertly proofread correspondence and other documents.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and administrative skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills and the ability to convey complex ideas in writing with clarity and sophistication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to represent the organization and interface with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors, and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency, and inclusivity.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across all cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong ability to actively listen and deftly navigate and manage relationships.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet research.

Salary/Compensations

  • 67,000 - 72,000 USD
