About the Role
The Senior Prospect Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and producing sophisticated prospect research and management processes to support assigned philanthropy teams. This role directly impacts revenue goals by providing donor insights to inform fundraising strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on individuals using internal and external data sources, evaluating findings and forming recommendations for solicitation and prospect/donor management strategies.
- Provide strategy insights, monitor fundraising strategy compliance, and maintain strong partnerships with prospect development and fundraising teams.
- Oversee a balanced portfolio, evaluate new prospects, and collaborate with the Prospect Operations team to ensure data hygiene for major gift prospects.
- Gather and analyze data on priority constituents to identify new opportunities and align donor interests with ACS programs and mission.
- Verify gift capacity and biographical details, and assist in obtaining updated contact information for high-priority prospects.
- Engage in professional development to stay current on best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in prospect research or an equivalent field.
- Demonstrated expertise in prospect research technologies, data tools, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to interpret complex information from diverse sources (e.g., IRS forms, SEC filings, real property resources, biographical data, charitable giving databases, news sites).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential, and highly sensitive environment.
- Uphold APRA Advance Prospect Research standards and Code of Ethics.
