About the Role

Drive the strategic, financial, and operational management of the Transaction Banking business. Partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to support business growth, enhance profitability, improve client experience, and ensure effective governance across cash management, payments, trade finance, liquidity solutions, and other transaction banking services. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing business insights, performance management, strategic planning, and execution support to help achieve the bank’s revenue and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Target Operating Model, business development, and financial/non-financial resource allocation, providing strategic insight and thought leadership.
  • Provide strategic support and oversight of demand pipeline and book of work, including assistance in developing and executing strategic initiatives, projects, research, and analysis.
  • Support and guide operational efficiency and colleague/customer/client experience, identifying areas for improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices.
  • Manage people plan, talent development, and succession planning, including identifying high-potential employees, providing mentorship, and supporting leadership development and diversity initiatives.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, manage communication channels, and ensure effective coordination across departments.
  • Participate in compliance activities (e.g., SMR, regulatory registrations/certifications) and support crisis management and risk mitigation.
  • Manage organizational/team requirements for technology, real estate, people, and communications in conjunction with firm partners.
  • Enable oversight of risk management and compliance with internal/external requirements, including Governance on critical control activities.
  • Manage cost control and workforce management, including financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches.
  • Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organization functions to contribute to business goals.
  • Collaborate with other work areas for business-aligned support.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience with P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, expense management, profitability analysis, and financial performance optimization.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and executive presentation skills, with the ability to develop compelling, data-driven materials and deliver strategic insights to senior leadership and executive committees.
  • Experience with strategic planning, business management, and financial forecasting, with a proven ability to translate business objectives into actionable growth initiatives and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance business performance, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting large corporate and multinational clients.
  • Financial modeling expertise.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, communicate effectively with executive leadership, and navigate complex organizational environments to deliver business objectives.
