About the Role
Weber Shandwick seeks a Senior Vice President, Earned Media to lead integrated media strategies for technology clients in a dynamic media landscape. This role requires a strategic counselor adept at modern storytelling across traditional media, social media, influencer engagement, owned content, AI-powered search, and paid amplification. Expertise in AI, computing, and enterprise technology is essential for distilling complex concepts into compelling narratives.
Responsibilities
- Setting and executing a modern integrated media strategy for key technology clients.
- Guiding clients through a rapidly evolving media landscape.
- Counseling clients on integrated communications.
- Leading integrated strategies for new business pitches.
- Developing earned media talent by fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and high performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience.
- Agency experience preferred.
- Experience leading projects from start to finish, working with integrated teams across various disciplines.
- Proven track record of success in the technology sector, including corporate and brand reputation management, executive visibility, crisis communications, and proactive media relations.
- Experience mentoring, managing, and growing teams.
- Ability to uncover insights that translate into compelling and impactful earned-media programs.
- Strong media relationships and understanding of how to engage media for client outcomes.
