About the Role

We are seeking a warm, caring, and experienced Nursery Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive team at Monkey Puzzle Woodford. Our vision is to inspire change through excellence in childcare, creating a positive impact for generations to come.

Responsibilities

  • Help provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of the children.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain positive working relationships with the team, parents, and carers.
  • Report issues of concern to a senior team member.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and creative ideas to inspire learning.
  • Utilize good verbal and written communication skills with adults and children.
  • Exhibit great planning and organisation skills.
  • Show a willingness to learn.
  • Work well under pressure.

Requirements

  • GCSE grades 5-9/A-C.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Appropriate behaviour management.
  • Participate in child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development.
  • Obtain Food Hygiene Level 2 (preferred).
  • FGM certification (preferred).
  • Safeguarding certification (preferred).
  • Paediatric First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Appropriate level of criminal record Disclosure and Barred check required.
  • Provide details of all unspent convictions during the recruitment process.
