About the Role
As a Privacy Consultant, you will provide privacy guidance to all business areas and support the Privacy Office's operations. This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to offer guidance and oversight for corporate programs, ensuring organizational compliance with legislation and privacy commissioner guidance.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the Privacy Office is perceived as a valued partner by collaborating with business areas to deliver solutions that drive value and privacy risk mitigation.
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) on any new initiatives reported to the Privacy Office.
- Developing regular communications across the organization to improve awareness of our privacy program and related topics.
- Building sound understanding of current and future business processes and endeavor to provide optimal support.
- Supporting the Privacy Office team with the investigation of privacy incidents and responding to client requests.
- Providing advice and guidance aligned to all policies and standards to ensure consistency in approach.
- Identifying opportunities to develop innovative approaches that improve efficiency and effectiveness of our privacy program.
- Encouraging the creation of new approaches to effective privacy controls that allow business areas to achieve both risk mitigation and business results.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Privacy ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Subject to a Background check as a condition of employment.
