About the Role

The Village of Glendale has an exciting opportunity for a Retirement team member to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
  • Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met while following safe food handling techniques.
  • Support with the preparation of catering functions and events.
  • Maintain a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Support and embrace the resident-centered social culture and deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Lift up to 50lbs (usual 5-20 lb.), and push/pull wheeled equipment up to 100 lbs. (usual 20-50 lb.).
  • Stand or walk for the majority of the shift (8-hour maximum).

Requirements

  • Possess exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
  • Hold a valid Food handlers certification.
