About the Role
The Analyst, Business Solutions will support the creation and management of platforms, inventory, and new asset ideation across MSG Sports properties, including the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and Westchester Knicks. This role will also support sales strategy and platform development across the teams' digital channels and products.
Responsibilities
- Support relationships with key stakeholders across the MSG Sports marketing team.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of all Team properties and assets/rights.
- Contribute to Team platform development and creation of all sales materials related to Team Properties.
- Capture and document key meeting discussions, decisions, and action items.
- Liaise with sales and account management to understand partner/prospect needs/objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and key league (NHL/NBA) contacts.
- Fully understand MSG Networks platforms and potential cross-platform opportunities.
- Proactively identify new assets and build creative turnkey platforms to generate new revenue opportunities.
- Manage and contribute to rate card, pricing, and P&L development.
- Manage sales materials from upfronts and evergreens to full decks and compressed 1-pagers.
- Help manage available inventory, track sold inventory, deadlines, property assets, designations, and promotional rights.
- Collaborate with account management to develop case studies across properties and industries.
- Participate in sales presentations, as needed.
- Provide exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and team members.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in strategic marketing/partnership sales roles.
- Knowledge of the marketing and advertising industries with a focus on sports and entertainment.
- Demonstrated exceptional project management skills.
- Ability to create partnerships (vet and price, develop P&L and execute platforms).
- Ability to create sales material outlines and develop strategy.
- Strategic thinker with strong writing, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to simultaneously understand Divisional and Client objectives.
- Demonstrated experience and success working with a broad cross section of functional teams.
- Operates with a high level of professionalism across all settings.
- Strong work ethic with ability to function independently while managing upwards.
- Proven ability to excel while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management with ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Ability and skill-set to communicate directly with NHL and NBA league contacts.
- Strong creative and innovative mindset with analytical skills.
