About the Role

As a Barrier Technician at Marshall Farms, you will provide exceptional daily care for minipigs while maintaining a clean, healthy, and biosecure environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, value animal welfare, and seek to contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality daily care and husbandry for minipigs.
• Maintaining clean, sanitized, and biosecure animal housing and work areas.
• Moving and handling animals safely and humanely using established procedures.
• Monitoring animal health and promptly communicating observations to the appropriate team members.
• Supporting breeding and production activities, including breeding, farrowing, identification, routine health care, and shipment preparation.
• Feeding animals and maintaining accurate feeding and weight records.
• Recording production and animal care information using electronic record systems.
• Cleaning and sanitizing animal housing, equipment, and supplies using specialized cleaning equipment.
• Following all biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assisting with additional responsibilities that support the success of the production team.

• $19.50 – 29.25 per hour
