About the Role

Fluidstack is seeking to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else by rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them. We are looking for individuals who care deeply about this problem space and want to be part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site procurement strategy for the US data center portfolio, sourcing and evaluating powered land for large-scale development and negotiating leases with data center operators.
  • Conduct site due diligence: evaluate utility and behind-the-meter power at 200MW+ scale, and assess buildability through title docs, surveys, geotechnical reports, and environmental studies.
  • Understand permitting requirements at each site and their implications for the construction schedule.
  • Maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, and developers so a valid site is never missed, and run vendor due diligence including on-site audits with specialist engineers.
  • Work directly with DC Design to keep sites matched to the latest technical requirements, and own capacity planning and forecasting across clients and regions.
  • Partner with Finance on multi-year infrastructure investment and cost structures, and lead commercial negotiations with landowners and developers.

Requirements

  • You've worked in real estate with a focus on data centers or other large industrial projects, and you've closed large, complex deals.
  • You assess land viability for data center development fast and rigorously: power, buildability, and permitting.
  • You bring a customer-centric mindset, strong ownership, and proactive problem-solving.
  • You align stakeholders across diverse internal and external teams, and you'll travel 20%+ as projects require.
