About the Role
Envision Education seeks a Speech and Debate Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year at our San Francisco High School, City Arts and Leadership. This course requires a current English Language Arts or Social Sciences credential. This opportunity includes a $5,000 City Arts and Leadership Supplement and a $4,000 Supplement for Credentialed Teachers.
Responsibilities
- Adapt, Internalize, and Develop lesson and unit plans aligned to network curriculum.
- Participate in regular professional development and coaching cycles.
- Develop a strong sense of community and belonging in the classroom.
- Leverage student-facing data to differentiate for diverse learners.
- Serve as an advisor and teach daily advisory curriculum.
- Collaborate in grade level and department teams.
- Build strong relationships with families.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree or higher
- Valid California Teaching Credential or out of state equivalent with ability to transfer required.
- Demonstrated success working with parents and families, especially Black, African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families.
