About the Role

UCP of Long Island is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented leader to oversee various residences throughout Suffolk County. This role is responsible for the overall administration of assigned residences, including regulation compliance, staff supervision & training, budget monitoring, physical plant issues, and ensuring quality of care for individuals served.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate coverage of all residences through monthly staffing/scheduling.
  • Ensure proper correspondence with parents and outside providers.
  • Supervise the financial component.
  • Inspect DDPs for accurate completion and documentation.
  • Audit consumer records to meet state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate, attend, and ensure accurate completion of incident review.
  • Provide weekly supervision of managers/assistant managers.
  • Maintain weekly residence managers/assistant managers staff meetings.
  • Conduct staff evaluations for residence managers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
  • Interview and hire residence managers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
  • Serve as a rotating on-call administrator.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors (Managers, Social Workers, Applied Behavior Specialists, Nurses, Recreation Therapists) and directly supervise non-supervisory employees.
  • Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of residential units.
  • Perform HR functions including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining employees, and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • One to three years of OPWDD management experience and/or training.
  • Valid NYS Driver License.
  • One year of licensed driving experience.
