About the Role

Blissway is a startup simplifying toll collection and improving highway safety through Deep Tech, AI/ML, Hardware, SaaS, and IoT. We have a technological lead in the tolling industry and operate with a lean, growing team. Our impact is visible on the Interstate Highway System connecting major US metros.

Responsibilities

  • Build the platform connecting Blissway's deep-tech hardware to drivers, partners, and government agencies.
  • Own internal systems and public-facing surfaces that require security and robustness.
  • Develop and maintain software for millions of drivers managing toll accounts, including payments, history, and disputes.
  • Build and maintain integrations with DMVs, mailhouses, and fleet vendors for ACH payment processing, handling unique data contracts, compliance, and edge cases.
  • Develop platform and DevOps tooling, including deployment tooling, service infrastructure, and shared standards.
  • Fix issues related to standing up or running services.
  • Consolidate service authentication and operator access management across all Blissway deployments.
  • Create a unified management interface for internal teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A track record of building projects, demonstrated through side projects, open-source contributions, or internships.
  • A mindset of a 'fully formed adult' who takes initiative, figures out what's needed, and acts professionally.
  • Willingness to accept feedback for growth.
  • 2 to 6 years of software engineering experience on a quickly shipping team.
  • True end-to-end experience, having taken products from ideation to production and owning post-launch responsibilities.
