About the Role

The Software QA Engineer IV builds quality into products from the ground up through clean, maintainable test automation. You'll own end-to-end testing coverage across API, Pub/Sub messaging, and UI layers of .NET and React-based clinical applications deployed in Azure and Oracle. As a domain lead, you'll mentor peers, own QA metrics, and play an active role in shaping testing standards across the organization. This position sits within a unified QA automation team embedded in Agile development pods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QA coverage for a designated Business Domain or Technology Area
  • Mentor team members on quality assurance practices, tools, and domain knowledge
  • Own and present QA metrics to domain leadership
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria (Shift-Left QA)
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, SpecFlow, and C#
  • Plan and execute multiple testing types: functional, regression, performance/load, security, accessibility, and UAT
  • Integrate and maintain test automation within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Isolate, reproduce, track, and verify defects — escalating risks with clear mitigation options
  • Manage and maintain test data to support repeatable, comprehensive coverage
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
  • Review product design documentation to verify requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
  • Conduct compatibility and vendor-provided program testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years in QA or software testing on large-scale systems
  • 4+ years of automation test scripting with commercial or open-source tools
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices
  • SQL proficiency for data validation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to leadership
  • Experience working across on-premises and cloud environments
