About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Client Manager to join a friendly, ambitious team at a well-established accountancy practice. You will enjoy genuine autonomy, a varied client portfolio, and clear opportunities for future progression, working closely with Partners to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and become a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Review corporation tax returns and oversee personal tax compliance.
• Prepare and review management accounts.
• Provide business advice and support clients with their day-to-day financial matters.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT work completed by junior team members.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff.
• Identify opportunities to improve client service and support business development.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or qualified by experience with strong practice experience).
• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge across owner-managed businesses.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach and genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.
