About the Role

Moog is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes, ensuring contractual quality requirements are met and providing protection to Moog and its Customers. This role has a measurable impact on business performance by promoting high standards of quality, crucial given the complexity of the hardware produced. You will report to a Program QE Manager and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area). You will be relied upon to have integrity and address problems immediately, supported by Moog's culture.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for customers.
  • Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers.
  • Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
  • Facilitate cross functional teams through problem solving activities, including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
  • Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
  • Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective actions on complex issues.
  • Reduce inspection costs and prevent failure-related expenses through statistical analysis and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with problem solving tools and documentation.
  • This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
