About the Role

Moog is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan and execute cost-effective quality processes, ensuring contractual quality requirements are met and providing protection to Moog and its Customers. This role has a measurable impact on business performance by promoting high standards of quality, crucial given the complexity of the hardware produced. You will report to a Program QE Manager and work onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area). You will be relied upon to have integrity and address problems immediately, supported by Moog's culture.

Responsibilities

Responsible for quality success on program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality related decisions for customers.
Collaborate with global partners to gather insights, resolve challenges, meet program requirements, and maintain consistent, transparent communication with customers.
Improve production by conducting QE studies, recommending design changes, and providing quality support to manufacturing personnel.
Facilitate cross functional teams through problem solving activities, including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support configuration control, and traceability.
Develop Quality plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.
Work directly with customers and suppliers to identify root cause and corrective actions on complex issues.
Reduce inspection costs and prevent failure-related expenses through statistical analysis and problem-solving.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
3 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Proficiency with problem solving tools and documentation.
This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
