About the Role
As a member of CIBC’s End Point Compute, Mobility and Print Services team, you’ll play a critical role in the design and evolution of our endpoints and supporting infrastructure to introduce and align to new technologies and drive the organization to a modern workspace. The Service Designer for the mobility platform is responsible for leading the functional design and roadmap strategy for systems across the Mobility technology platform.
Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into system and application design aligned with the technology roadmap.
- Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
- Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives and operational efficiency goals.
- Recommend and understand optimal financial and contractual obligations for mobile services.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps aligned with the bank’s vision, strategy, financial, contract, and business objectives.
- Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices, and pushing for continuous improvements.
- Act as the solution lead and interface with project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions.
- Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Demonstrate experience for at least 5+ years in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications.
- Experience and knowledge in design principles.
- Understanding of industry standards such as ITIL and COBIT.
- Embrace and champion change.

- Continuously evolve thinking and work methods.
- Influence outcomes by making yourself heard.
- Be digitally savvy, seeking innovative solutions and embracing evolving technologies.
