About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Implement, refine, and validate machine learning algorithms for company products and applications.
  • Train machine learning models, validate their accuracy, and manage their deployment into production.
  • Design and develop data pipelines, ensuring proper data ingestion, validation, cleaning, and monitoring.
  • Research and author documentation and technical requirements, including white papers, test results, and formal recommendations.
  • Innovate by contributing to the creation of patents, APIs, and other intellectual property.
  • Test and evaluate machine learning solutions from internal and external sources, providing detailed assessments.
  • Conduct case studies and compile reports to inform testing strategies and results.
  • Design proof of concept solutions and contribute to research studies for future product development.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, including working nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficient in Python, with common design patterns and backend system design principles.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies and hands-on experience with backend testing tools (e.g., pytest).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in backend systems.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the Scrum Agile collaboration framework and Jira is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and DevOps principles is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud computing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in ML Ops is a plus.
  • Experience performing container orchestration using Kubernetes and working with Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Understand and apply Operating Principles.
  • Own the customer experience and prioritize customer needs.
  • Be an enthusiastic learner and advocate of company technology and products.
  • Collaborate effectively and be open to new ideas.
