About the Role
Embedded banking integrates financial services into platforms clients use, such as ERPs. Citi develops and owns ERP Integration products to eliminate third-party dependencies, protect client data, and ensure a branded experience. This role is responsible for setting strategy, providing leadership, managing budgets, and developing product plans and tactics throughout the product lifecycle to achieve market growth and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product.
- Oversee day-to-day product management for core products, including product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies.
- Prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results.
- Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation.
- Develop and execute functional strategies for a country, region, or business, coordinating across units.
- Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmaps, and create advanced solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management, including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field.
- Contribute to acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals.
- Identify and execute opportunities and gaps in business plans.
- Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace.
- Coordinate and implement team procedures, client problem resolutions, and client management.
- Drive innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, manage vendor relationships, and prepare agreements.
- Assess risk, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to policy and ethical judgment.
- Supervise others' activities and create accountability for maintaining standards.
- Own and commercialize the product, including packaging, pricing, and business cases with a focus on revenue, adoption, and unit economics.
- Build the go-to-market strategy with sales, marketing, and implementation teams.
- Define and track key metrics such as connected clients, integration time-to-live, transaction volume, attach rate of financing products, and revenue per client.
- Manage commercial trade-offs, including build vs. partner decisions and investment priorities.
- Engage directly with corporate treasury, finance, and IT teams to understand client needs.
- Lead discovery, design partnerships, and pilots, translating client needs into product features.
- Support pre-sales and deal pursuits as the product expert.
- Own the feedback loop from live clients back into the product roadmap.
- Partner with implementation and client service teams to ensure fast and predictable onboarding.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business
- Functional experience in marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, or analytics
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated analytical skills
