About the Role

This is an LPN position in a fast-paced Urology practice located at a new, state-of-the-art clinical facility. The role involves providing direct patient care in an outpatient setting, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the care delivery system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in an outpatient setting.
• Contribute to unit activities and support the enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Work as a team member and assist other staff members with implementing patient care.
• Assume responsibility for the care of assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
• Participate in the plan of care.
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Contribute to patient/family education.
• Collect data.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient information.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Room patients.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Record patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Obtain and prepare specimens.
• Prepare patients for procedures.
• Assist during procedures.
• Perform high-level disinfection of equipment.
• Provide documentation support for physicians across multiple urology disciplines.
• Work in a very fast-paced environment.
• Provide quality care for complex urologic patients.
• Work well in a team approach.

Requirements

• One year of acute care experience or urology experience is a plus, but not required.
