About the Role

Be an Advocate, a Care Taker, a Friend to Patients. At NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, nursing attendants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport.
Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, plus certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.
All roles require on-site presence.
Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
