About the Role

The QM Specialist supports clinical registry, regulatory reporting, and quality improvement initiatives through data abstraction, validation, analysis, and submission. This role partners with clinicians, operational leaders, and quality teams to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and accurate performance reporting that supports improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Abstract, validate, and submit data for assigned clinical registries, regulatory programs, and accreditation requirements.
• Perform detailed medical record reviews and ensure compliance with registry definitions, regulatory specifications, and submission requirements.
• Analyze quality and performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential compliance risks.
• Support electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs), chart-abstracted measures, and registry reporting activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve documentation, measure performance, and patient outcomes.
• Participate in data validation, quality assurance, workflow standardization, and process improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a resource for registry and regulatory reporting requirements and assist with education and performance improvement efforts.
• Support reporting automation and technology-enabled solutions that improve efficiency and data quality.

Requirements

• RN, NP, PA, or other licensed clinical professional preferred.
• Experience with clinical registries, CMS quality programs, eCQMs, ORYX measures, or healthcare regulatory reporting.
• Experience with Epic and healthcare analytics applications.
• CPHQ or related certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in clinical registries, quality management, regulatory reporting, healthcare analytics, or performance improvement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• All roles require on-site presence.
• Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
