About the Role

Clinical Shared Services is seeking a programmer analyst with a problem-solving mindset to support the EHR system. The role involves implementing and maintaining programming customizations and system configurations for the clinical enterprise EMR system, working closely with clinical and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, test, support, debug, and document programming clinical applications for EMR systems.
  • Develop and program forms, reports, surveys, queries, macros, scripts, and print groups.
  • Understand project goals and requirements by working with various stakeholders.
  • Analyze and understand data models in depth; define data structures to improve performance or add value; maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide design support for business intelligence solutions and their maintenance; assist end users with problem-solving.
  • Understand business and user needs with clinical and operational leadership, documenting project work plans and requirements.
  • Improve programming practices and adhere to corporate standards for performance metrics, data collection, data integrity, query design, and reporting.
  • Assist in managing technical support issues, problem escalation, resolution, and risk minimization.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including HIPAA.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience participating in software installation projects of medium/large size and complexity.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in SQL and database modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of related work experience.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
