About the Role
This individual will be a key player within the Commodity Derivative Product group, responsible for structuring and executing Commodity Derivative Risk Management strategies for Capital One's corporate clients. The role involves maintaining direct contact with a personal portfolio of customers and providing Risk Management services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product and structuring expertise for customer hedging requirements, offering tailored solutions/strategies.
- Develop strong partnership with the Commodities trading desk for seamless execution at competitive pricing.
- Maintain direct contact with a personal portfolio of customers, structuring and implementing risk management strategies.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior management and LOB heads to leverage cross-sell opportunities.
- Regularly participate in calls with Relationship Managers to analyze client funding and risk management opportunities.
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure business operates in compliance with second line governance, internal audit requirements, and regulatory exams.
- Manage a portfolio of risk management products that meet corporate customer needs and lead efforts to expand product capabilities.
- Monitor policies, procedures, and systems to ensure applicable regulations are met and internal controls are in place.
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management training programs for Capital One Relationship Managers.
- Establish strategic partnerships with other financial institutions to provide a full range of products and services.
- Stay informed of industry trends and issues by reviewing industry periodicals, attending seminars, and meeting with industry leaders.
- Exercise usual managerial authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 12 years of experience marketing Commodity Derivatives to corporate clients
- Masters degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting
- CPA or CFA
- At least 13 years of experience marketing Commodity Derivatives to corporate clients
- Strong knowledge of Swap Dealer rules and regulations
