About the Role
The Center for Disability Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their Education department. This role involves collaborating with a team to provide high-quality services to students with disabilities, working across two different school locations.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality occupational therapy services
- Assesses current level of function
- Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan
- Maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation
- Evaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as needed
- Completes student evaluation as assigned, which include initial evaluations, reevaluations, and wheelchair evaluations
- Completes report cards and annual student reviews
- Supervises assigned Occupational Therapy Assistants or student interns as needed
- Reviews and cosigns documentation completed by Occupational Therapy Assistants and students as assigned
- Communicates with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, vendors, school districts and county service providers
- Maintains clinical and professional knowledge base
- Complies with Federal, State and local legal and professional requirements
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities
- Less than 1 yr of job-related experience required
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
