About the Role

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager Data Scientist to join the Post Purchase Platform team. This role is integral to developing innovative data science and AI solutions for the payment and post-purchase landscape, impacting global clients and shaping the digital future of payments.

Responsibilities

  • Implements, monitors, and maintains production machine learning, NLP models, and Gen AI products.
  • Develops strategies and tools for data extraction, model retuning, and data quality assurance using data wrangling, LLMs, and AI.
  • Ensures adherence to Visa’s model review management processes, data management principles, governance, and tools.
  • Advises on technical specifications for collaborations with model review management, software development, product teams, and clients.
  • Identifies complex trends across data sources to plan future platform-wide solution updates.
  • Owns and maintains dashboards using SQL to collect data from an internal data warehouse.
  • Develops visualizations to make complex analyses accessible to a broad audience.
  • Identifies opportunities to create new data products from analyses.
  • Provides ad-hoc data analysis support and conducts data studies for internal teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of analytical experience in applying solutions to business problems.
  • Four (4) years of experience designing, building/fine tuning ML/AI models around fraud detection.
  • Four (4) years of experience solving data problems using data technologies (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, Hive, NoSQL).
  • One (1) year of experience in using LLMs for feature extraction from textual data.
  • One (1) year of experience in building dashboards with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience building agentic workflows.
