About the Role
The IDD Residential Director is responsible for the 24/7 comprehensive oversight of 30 IRAs and a $30 million budget, ensuring operational compliance, quality, and financial management. This role involves implementing and overseeing community integration and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, and co-occurring disorders, while ensuring a highly trained team is in place to meet support needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 comprehensive oversight of 30 IRAs and a $30 million budget.
- Ensure overall operations, compliance, quality, and financial management of assigned IRAs.
- Implement and oversee community integration and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, and co-occurring disorders.
- Ensure a highly trained team of front-line supervisors and direct support professionals.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including individuals supported, families, supervisors, clinicians, nurses, and therapists.
- Promote expertise in community support, community living, coordination of supports, and behavioral health care.
- Promote person-centered practice and respect for individual life choices.
- Lead the development of skills and knowledge for quality service delivery.
- Participate in designing and implementing a comprehensive DSP Training Curriculum.
- Train, implement, and assure adherence to Core Competencies and Council on Quality Leadership (CQL) guiding principles.
- Participate in the Corporate Planning process and deliver organizational Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure compliance and quality in service delivery meeting or exceeding federal, state, and professional standards.
- Maintain all licenses and certifications required for IDD residential services and training.
- Partner with Quality Assurance on utilization review and management.
- Partner with senior leadership and finance on cost center development, implementation, and management.
- Maximize revenue and control expenses for fiscal viability.
- Provide on-call coverage as assigned.
- Fulfill duties as assigned by senior and executive leadership.
- Supervise DSP Supervisors directly and DSPs and interdisciplinary teams indirectly.
Requirements
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Possess sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Proficient in organizing and managing competing priorities and organizational Key Performance Indicators.
- Deep knowledge of OPWDD and OFPC regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage risk while maintaining accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic health record, and virtual communication platforms.
- Must maintain current license/certification/training.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, work eligibility status, and have an excellent driving record.
- Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long periods.
- Able to work in an open space floor plan.
- Must be capable to move throughout the workday and follow people served throughout the community.
- Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet.
- Must be able to move in tight spaces.
- Occasional lifting of > 25+ pounds.

Experience Level
- Minimum of five years of related and progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience in a similar industry or field.
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex behavioral challenges.
- Familiar with ABA and PECS.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Salary/Compensations
- $72,000 annually
