About the Role

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our world-class Commissioning Team in San Francisco, CA. This role involves ensuring systems and components are installed and operate as intended, with opportunities for both office and field work, including hands-on testing to improve building performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining pre-functional and functional checklists.
  • Conducting field functional testing and performing on-site observations.
  • Leading commissioning meetings and managing the overall commissioning process.
  • Documenting test results, tracking issues in the resolution log, and preparing comprehensive commissioning reports.
  • Supporting project management tasks as needed.
  • Performing other related duties to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or related industry experience.
  • Technical knowledge of MEP system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation background.
  • Proficiency in client-facing/client relationship/client management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and to lift and carry loads above 20 lbs.
  • Able to be on a job site for extended periods (8-10 hours).
  • This position will require travel as needed.
  • Vehicle transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
