About the Role

MG+M The Law Firm is seeking experienced Defense Litigation Paralegals to join our General Liability or Product Liability practice groups in our California offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
• Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
• Draft initial drafts of pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.
• Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
• Compose case assessments and evaluations for attorney review.
• Account for and submit personal billable time contemporaneously.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in General Liability Defense litigation.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience handling California cases is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Proficiency in Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to respond promptly to attorney and client requests.
• Ability to meet commitments.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks on time.
• Ability to work independently.
