About the Role
MATTE is seeking an Experiential Producer to lead high-end experiential production for clients, reporting to the Director of Experiential. This role involves managing production teams and ensuring successful project delivery from kickoff to wrap.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative and technical experiential production, including building production plans and schedules.
- Shepherd creative direction and oversee junior production team members.
- Source and manage all production vendors and partners.
- Develop and execute project scopes, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and licenses for events and activations.
- Provide and represent experiential production expertise internally and externally.
- Determine project risk on an ongoing basis and escalate issues as needed.
- Monitor out-of-scope requests and initiate additional estimates and approvals.
- Build, manage, and wrap budgets alongside the Director of Experiential to maximize profitability.
- Supervise staff, proactively reviewing, troubleshooting, and escalating potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of campaign aspects.
- Work with client brand guidelines, bringing projects from concept through production.
- Collaborate with the Director of Experiential in developing departmental tools and processes.
- Support presale workstreams, developing project timelines and budgets.
- Build, maintain, and improve internal and external processes, workflows, systems, and policies.
- Directly manage 1 junior production staff member, providing mentorship and oversight.
- Coach junior production staff to maximize performance and ensure project quality.
- Keep all stakeholders apprised on key changes affecting final delivery.
- Direct and motivate teams to help them use their talents effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with other teams to ensure projects move forward effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of latest industry technology, trends, and techniques.
- Engage, contract, and onboard freelance resources and varied vendors, building a network of trusted resources.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in experiential marketing production, including event management and production.
- Experience managing employees with different working styles.
- Ability to think fast, problem-solve, present solutions, and react positively to unexpected issues.
- Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to both provide and take direction well.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and permits for events and activations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Adeptness in managing client relationships.
- A strong work ethic and sense of project ownership.
- Experience managing project budgets that range and scale up to $1.5MM.
