About the Role
The Plant Production Worker - Packaging will be responsible for retrieving, palletizing, and wrapping products. This position is also required to learn all stations of the Bag-In-Box (BIB) machine and offload drum trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspection of containers.
- Drain and check line cleanliness.
- Sample packaged goods for quality retain records.
- Label packaged products.
- Fill various package units to target weights and volumes.
- Program fill line machines to target weights and volumes.
- Conduct post-fill inspections, ensuring containers are properly closed and sealed, and wiping down debris/excess fluids.
- Move products to/from blenders and stock tanks.
- Secure package products for shipment, including palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and zip tie closures.
- Complete necessary inventory documents, such as Production Tickets, Transfer Logs, and Sales Order Bills of Lading.
- Verify inventory of bulk tanks and storage units.
- Adhere to all applicable work instructions and procedures.
- Complete scheduled work activities with focus in a particular area.
- Maintain clean warehouses and work areas.
- Ensure a safe work environment and safe operations.
- Assist in other areas within the plant as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School/GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred in a related position.
